President & Executive Director
I am a focused and committed Bio-statistician, with a wealth of experience in primary health care, livelihoods, surveillance, innovations, job creation and entrepreneurship, and action research in communicable and non-communicable diseases to mention but a few.
I am interested in reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health, nutrition, food security, job creation, vocational training, m-Health, e-Health, humanitarian response, child protection and women rights, integrated population, health and environment (PHE), emergency relief, resettlement and human rights, refugees and victims of conflict, palliative care and patient support services.
In May 2010, my home district and region was named having the highest HIV prevalence rate in Uganda, high stunting and low birth weight babies, high malnutrition, daily maternal deaths, very poor grades in primary schools, high school child dropout rates, high teenage pregnancies and early child marriages, high number of prisoners and high unemployment among youth. No local organisation was available to address the above problems or conduct scientific, clinical and action research. This prompted me to resign from the well paid statistician job with the government and start a charity with long-term commitment to the well-being of women, children under five, new mothers, youth and vulnerable children in the Rwenzori Region and others regions in Uganda.
